Instructional Assistant Professor 2016 - 2018
- Created and delivered lectures, and led discussions on various topics in art history and visual culture twice a week for 2-3 courses. Developed and taught ADA 508 compliant, asynchronous, online courses using the Blackboard LMS and Sutori.
- Translated complex concepts to new learners using a variety of multimedia sources including videos and game based learning. Recorded and edited weekly videos using Camtasia. Curated open-source education materials using Blackboard and Sutori.
- Developed assessment methods and provided feedback to 100-280 students each semester.
- Managed 2-3 graduate assistants each semester and provided end-of-semester reviews for each.
Online Faculty Coordinator 2018
- Completed the coursework for Instructional Design Certification.
- Arranged training for all online faculty in the Department of Visualization. Worked closely with Instructional Design to create custom training modules for faculty.
- Worked closely with LIVELab, a student-run software development lab sponsored by Triseum, to develop work schedules and deadlines for the development of education video games for Art History.
- Researched and wrote content for the Art History video game, ARTé: Lumière.
- Play-tested new game modules on a regular basis, edited content, and provided feedback to the developers.
